I do not typically leave bad reviews. But the experience I had this week was beyond weird. After a pedicure I sat down for a manicure and said I wanted powder gel. The woman was visibly annoyed and sighed and handed me the choices. I chose a beige with sparkles being that I was in a wedding. She did one single layer of powder and then told me it was Very light and wouldn’t work on my nails since it wasn’t dark enough and showed me. I said well this is just one coat you gotta do a couple more she said no this is 2 coats and it’s done if that’s what I like and want (pic attached) I said no I don’t like it it needs another layer she said no pick a new color. And handed me the choices but it was a different board with the choices . I again picked a nude she came back and started doing UV gel. I told her I didn’t want UV gel and she continued to go back and forth with me very nastily saying it’s color gel Not UV gel and when I asked the differncr she just kept saying it’s color gel. I said if it’s color gel why am I putting my hand under uv light and why does the box say uv gel polish? She then again sighed and stood up and handed me the original rack of color choices. For a third time I chose a nude color . I have gotten powder gel many times and nude had never once been a problem at any other salon. She comes back and does one coat, on top of the previous coat of poweder she never removed and said it was too light and showed me again. I said it needs more coats and she said no it doesn’t. I had enough and said just do the uv gel you clearly don’t want to do this powder and she went and did the uv gel directly on top of the 1.5 coats of the other 2 powders didn’t remove it. The manager/boss was directly Behind us at the register and said nothing did nothing to help the situation just stood there. I was in a group and a friend paid for all of us without me knowing so I wasn’t fully paying attention but I’m pretty sure she charged my friend $84 for my manicure and basic pedicure (Ice cold water In the basin and when I said it’s cold she said ‘yeah’ ). $84!!! The nails haven’t even been painted for 48 hours and they are chipped already. I have done nothing more than attended a wedding since then. NEVER AGAIN
